One Week Til Ben

Ok, the bye week is over. Know what that means?  It means two things, one, 12 straight games without a break and then hopefully a few more after that!  It also means Big Ben is back!  You don’t have to like him as a person, or off the field, but the bottom line here is he makes this 3-1 football team that much better.  This team went 3-1 without him and they can only get better!  Think about that.  Remember a month back when we said we’d take 2-2 without Ben?  You all said it and thought it too.  Then the team started 3-0 and we all wanted that 4-0 start and a big win over the Ravens.  It didn’t happen, but it easily could have.  We may have gotten letigious for a week, but look, 3-1 is a great spot when you play a 4 games with your 3rd and then 4th string QB’s!  Big Ben has  a lot to prove off the field but you know what, that will translate on the field too. He knows as well as we do that the quickest and best way to win back the fans of Pittsburgh is by winning football games.  We are starting to think this team could win a lot of games based on the defense, the running game on offense and now the return of Big Ben.

If you’re at the stadium, don’t boo him, cheer for him. He’s a part of this team that we follow on a day to day basis, that move our schedules around to watch and that we celebrate their wins and become depressed over their losses.  He’s a key piece to this season and he may bring a lot of special things back to this city so let’s get ready because he’s here again, he’s looking sharp in practice and he’s got a lot to prove.
